Drawings on the motif of the house and architectural depictions already appear early on in Joseph Beuys’ work. Tent and hut as early forms of housing represent the nomadic and the sedentary lifestyle. When working on concrete architectural projects, Beuys was primarily concerned with simplicity and measure, societal and social aspects.
