Museum Schloss Moyland is presenting a major retrospective of 200 photographs by photographer June Newton (Alice Springs). The show, which was already on display at the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin in 2023, will be shown in a modified form at Museum Schloss Moyland from fall 2024. The exhibition in Moyland will shine a spotlight on Springs' portraits of Joseph Beuys and accentuate other portraits of artists. The exhibition will also include photographs that have rarely been seen before. These works were only recently moved from the Newtons' apartment in Monaco to the Berlin foundation.

Even though most of the people portrayed by June Newton are celebrities, she was less interested in social class than in people's faces. In her works, she works out the character individually and free of clichés by looking behind the façade.
